# Community Guidelines

> How we keep Suhba circles kind and safe: sincerity, respect for differences of madhab, privacy, gentle encouragement, and what happens when rules are broken.

Suhba exists to help people keep up their worship with the support of good companions. These guidelines describe the spirit we hope every circle shares. They apply to everything others can see in Suhba, and they are part of our [Terms of Service](/terms).

## In short

- Be sincere, kind and patient with one another.
- Respect differences of madhab and practice: no insults, no takfir, no sectarian attacks.
- No harassment, hate, sexual content, violence, spam or selling.
- Protect privacy: do not share other people’s information or screenshots without their consent.
- Use encouragements to lift people up, never to pressure them.

## Be sincere and kind

A circle is a place of mutual support, not of judgment. Everyone moves at their own pace, and a small deed kept up is worth celebrating. Assume good intentions, say the good word, and remember that each person’s worship is between them and Allah.

## Respect differences

Muslims follow different schools of law (madhahib) and practices, and Suhba welcomes them all.

- Do not insult, mock or belittle anyone for how they pray, what they recite or which opinion they follow.
- Do not declare another Muslim a disbeliever (takfir).
- Do not attack any group, sect or scholar, and do not use Suhba to stir up division.
- If you want to give advice, do it gently, with wisdom, and only when it is welcome.

## Keep Suhba safe

Suhba does not allow:

- **harassment or bullying**, including shaming someone for missed worship;
- **hate** against people for their ethnicity, nationality, origin, sex, disability or religion;
- **sexual content** of any kind;
- **violence**: threats, glorification of violence or of terrorism;
- **anything that harms children.** We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (see our [Child Safety Standards](/child-safety));
- **spam, selling or advertising**, including promoting products, services or fundraising;
- **impersonation** of another person or organization;
- **anything illegal**.

## Protect privacy

- Do not share anyone’s personal information, such as a phone number, address or photos, in names, bios, circle descriptions or titles.
- Do not share screenshots of someone’s profile, progress or encouragements without their consent.
- Respect each person’s visibility choices. Never pressure anyone to share more of their worship than they want to.
- Share cards are for your own words and milestones, not for exposing someone else.

## Encouragements are for kindness

Encouragements are short, fixed phrases, such as “You can do it”, that a companion can send you as a gentle nudge.

- Send them to support, never to pressure, blame or embarrass.
- You can send up to two per person per day. Use them thoughtfully.
- Some people turn encouragements off, or keep their progress private. Respect that.

## Names, bios and titles

Others can see your display name, your bio, and the names and descriptions of circles, goals, missions and programs you create. Keep them respectful and appropriate for all ages, and free of links, advertising and other people’s personal information.

## For circle admins

If you create or run a circle, you help set its tone.

- Invite people you know and trust.
- Give your circle a clear, respectful name and description.
- Welcome new members and remind them of these guidelines.
- Remove members who break the rules, and report serious problems to us.
- Use your admin role fairly: removing members and changing roles are logged.
- Before you leave Suhba, transfer ownership to another member so the circle can continue.

## If the rules are broken

Depending on how serious it is, and whether it has happened before, we may:

- remove the content;
- remove the person from a circle, or remove the circle;
- limit what the account can do;
- suspend or permanently close the account.

Anything that endangers a child, or a credible threat of violence, leads to immediate action and is reported to the authorities.

## How to report

Email [safety@suhba.win](mailto:safety@suhba.win) and include:

- the display name of the person involved, and the circle name;
- what happened, and when;
- screenshots, if they help (never images of child abuse: see our [Child Safety Standards](/child-safety#how-to-report)).

We read every report, and we never tell the person you reported who reported them. Circle admins can also remove members from their circle directly. If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.
